Trust in the LORD

Text: Proverbs 3:5; Isaiah 36:15

Many a times we put our life at the mercy of people we don't know or have never met them. When you take a cab or a taxi, you put your life at the mercy of the driver. We don't ask the driver whether he/she has the required certificate to drive. We just sit in hoping the driver will take us to our destination. We also use other means of transport such as the airline. We don't see the pilot or the first officer. Their actions or negligence can cause the life of everyone on board, but still we enter the airline without finding out the mental, health or physical state of the pilot. We believe they have been trained by the appropriate authority and have the skill to take us to our destination safely. When we visit the hospital, we also trust the medical team (nurses, lab technician, doctors and the pharmacist) that they are giving us the right medication to cure your illness. One simple misdiagnoses can cost the life or well being of the person. But when it comes to trusting the Lord our God many Christians begin to ask many questions doubting the power and authority of God. In the verse above the Bible ask the Church (Christian) to trust in the Lord with all their heart and not to depend on their own understanding. In everything you do acknowledge Him.

Why Should You trust the Lord
Through out the Bible, God has never disappoint people who depended on Him. We can speak of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob just to name a few. God was faithful to them. The promise God made to Abraham has come to pass. Now there are many people in this world who claim Abraham as their grandfather.

Saved Israel from Slavery
God promise Abraham that his descendant will be slaves in a foreign land but He (God) will bring them out of Slavery with great possesion. This came to pass in the book of Exodus. God led Israel back to the promised land. We can. also talk about Joseph son of Jacob and Rachel. God promised to make him great among his brothers. Although he faced many challenges from family and outsiders, God made him the prime minister of Eygpt God promised to send the Messiah to save us from sin and death. This prophecy came to pass in the New Testament: Jesus came to save us. God is always faithful to his children. There many other examples in the Bible where God has been faithful to people.

Our Personal Life
I personally believe God has been faithful to you too. You may not have all that you want. I believe at least one of your prayers have been answered by God in the past. It is enough reason to continue to trust him. If your prayer have not been answered yet, it is possible God has a good reason for not answering now. Even if your prayers have not been answered you have to continue to trust Him. It is written that God makes all things beautiful in His time. It is important to note: God is God whether you trust Him or not He is God. Whether you worship Him or not He is God. God have more than a million angels worshipping Him day and night. In Isaiah 6 the prophet talked about the Seraphim. These angels always call to one another: saying Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; when they say this the whole earth is full of his glory. So God has many angels and elders who serve Him day and night. Let us trust in the Lord He is just and faithful. God will never disappoint you. Life may not be easy sometimes. Do not lose hope continue to trust Him. God has a perfect plan for you.

Conclusion
Just as we can trust the cab or taxi driver, the pilot and the medical staff example doctors without asking many questions we also have to trust in the Lord because there are enough evidence in the Bible to prove that God can be trusted. God bless you. Shalom.
