Verse 1

Spirit of God, our comforter, Sent by the Christ we love, Fill with thy presence our weak lives, And turn our tho'ts above.

Verse 2

Convict our hearts in thine own way of sins that we have done; Teach us to have the power of him Thro' whom the victory's won.

Verse 3

Show us the way of righteousness, Steep tho that path may be, Give then the courage and the strength To follow after thee.

Verse 4

Help us o'er Satan's fierce on slaughts, To gain the victory sure, Thro' him who dies on Calvary's cross, And did our sin endure.
